The Blacktop Bruisers Motorcycle Club’s first ever Backlot Bash managed to draw a decent crowd despite the unfortunate weather, according to its organizer, Jason Burgoyne.
The event ran Saturday afternoon, raising money for Duchenne’s muscular dystrophy through a barbecue and various other initiatives.
Burgoyne says the total amount of money raised is still being calculated.
Burgoyne encourages anyone interested in keeping up with the final results or learning more to visit the Blacktop Bruisers’ Facebook page.
For now, Burgoyne says he looks forward to hosting the event again next year – possibly in July, to reduce the chance of heavy rainfall forcing it indoors.
