Iris McLaren
Iris died peacefully in the compassionate care of the nurses at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Thursday March 25, 2026, a place she was employed as a registered nurse on the obstetric floor for 35 years.
Daughter of the late Hazel and Ed Conroy of Westmeath ON. Devoted wife of the late Daryl McLaren and loving mother of the late Michael McLaren. Left to mourn are her caring daughter-in-law Kimberly McLaren (Pilgrim), sister Noreen Desjardins (late Reuben), sister-in-law Annette Conroy (late Edison) and her nieces and nephews that she was truly fond of. Predeceased by sisters June McLeod (Bill), Phyllis Meloche (Peter) and sister-in-law Etha Linton.
Cremation has taken place; A Funeral Service will be held at St. Luke’s Anglican Church 307 Julien Street, Pembroke, on Friday April 10, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. A private family interment will be held at a later date in Westmeath Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Luke’s Anglican Church building fund or the Canadian Cancer Society.
