Sherry Gilchrist
Sherry Gilchrist (nee McGonegal) passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026 at the age of 81. Beloved wife, best friend and bingo partner of the late Ronald Gilchrist. Daughter of the late Merril and Jean McGonegal Cherished mother of the late Brett (late Jane Truelove), Dale and Laurie (Bruce Ethier) Also survived by grandchildren Justin (Vicky), Charlene, Ron (Rose), Julie (Chris), Ryan, Meagan (Eddie), Katsua, Cynthia, Keenai and great-grandchildren Lux, Eliot, McKenna, Alexandra. Sister in law of Jim (Helen), John (June), Richard, (Noreen), Marie (late Raymond), Connie (Larry), Pam (Terry), Stephen (Cathy), Kevin (Val), David,(late Susan) Jane (Kenny), Cindy (Dave). Predeceased by brother Beatty McGonegal (late Mary) .
A Celebration of Life will be held on the Westmeath and District Hall on Sunday March 15 from 1-4. As an expression of sympathy donations to the SPCA or the Cancer Society would be appreciated.
