Robert ¨Bob¨ Melville Taylor
It is with deep sadness that we announce that Robert (Bob) Melville Taylor peacefully passed away in his 88th year on January 22, 2026, with his loving family at his side.
A dedicated member of the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years, he was recognized as RW Bob Taylor, past DDGM, recipient of the Grand Masters Meritorious Service Award, and 33rd Degree of the Scottish Rite. He cherished the brotherhood of his fellow Masons.
Pops is survived by daughters Sharon Haycock (Keith), Wendy Lewis (Brent), and Gail Peever (Shawn), grandchildren Meghan (Shawn), Matthew, Taylor (Samantha), Jordan (Evelyn), and Emma, and great-grandchildren Aubrey, Riley and Charlie, sister-in-law Sylvia Vautour (Ray deceased), special niece Jeannine Linton (Steve) and nephew Dan Vautour.
Predeceased by his wife Anita Mae (nee Simmons), parents Ella and Mel Taylor, and an infant sister.
The family wishes to thank the doctors, and nurses at the Pembroke Regional Hospital for their care and compassion.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Bob with his family during visitation at the Murphy Funeral Home, 296 Isabella Street, Pembroke on Tuesday January 27th from 9:30 a.m. followed by a celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m. Spring interment Wesley United Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Cancer Society or Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
