It is ATC STORAGE Seeds of Success; a look at leaders in the local agricultural sector…fueled by Kubota. Today we are looking at Equestrian…presented by Country Home Gardens. Valley Hitching Post Ranch is located in Deep River and is owned and operated by Rachel Sciommarella. She tells myFM news that she’s only been in the area for roughly 4 years after her daughter encouraged her to move the Valley. Rachel says as in many Canadian businesses, the hardest part is dealing with the winter months. Making sure the safety of the horses is a top priority. Valley Hitching Post Ranch is part of the WWOOF Canada Program. A program where young travelers from around the world apply to come volunteer at our facility to experience farming in Canada. We have accepted over a dozen “wwoofers “ in the last 2 years. Rachel says it’s an amazing experience working with people from different countries and cultures.
