Alex Maves is a first-generation farmer, who got his start growing vegetables for his friends and neighbours. After realizing this could become a way to make a living and to leave behind his career as a full-time trucker, he began to expand, growing Valley Veggies into the business it is today. Valley Veggies’ wares are available at the Pembroke Farmer’s Market twice a week, at the Petawawa Container Market on Fridays and at Burnt Bridge Quality Meats in Petawawa every day.
