The OPP continue to come across impaired drivers on local roads. Of the several reported recently, was a 35 year old from North Algona Wilberforce who was pulled over on May 29th after police got a call about a possible impaired driver leaving a hotel in Pembroke. After testing, the driver was charged with charged with operation while impaired and several other minor offences.
Then just two days later, OPP investigated a vehicle in a parking lot near the intersection of Highway 17 and Round Lake Road. A 35 year old woman from Chapeau has been charged with operation while impaired and drug possession.
Both of the accused individuals have lost their licence for 90 days and their vehicles impounded for a week.
