The Town of Petawawa is thanking everyone who took part in its recent transportation feasibility study.
The study consisted of a survey for residents to fill out in the early weeks of 2026, as well as a public meeting for people to offer input on their needs and desires regarding public transit in the city held on February 4th.
According to an announcement from the city, Dillon Consulting will be analyzing the survey results and feedback from that meeting over the coming weeks.
Afterwards, the company is expected to present the town with a recommendation in late April or early May.
According to information shared by the town while the study was ongoing, any new transit system that does get established will reportedly build upon existing options within the community, including local taxi services and the Petawawa Local Community Transportation Program operated by Carefor.
