Five people were arrested and drugs and cash were seized after police in Pembroke executed a warrant at a residence Thursday.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) with assistance from the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) detachment, executed the warrant.
On May 2, police entered a residence on Hunter Street in Pembroke. Inside the residence, OPP located three people wanted on outstanding warrants. Five people in total were arrested and police seized a quantity of drugs and cash.
The charges have not been proven in court.
Chantal Lance, 36, of Pembroke was arrested and released on charges of possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000 as well as three counts of possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking. The accused was released with date in Pembroke court on June 24.
Trish Burgess, 51, of Pembroke was charged with possession of a schedule I substance. The accused was also released and is scheduled to appear in court in Pembroke on June 24.
Stephanie Martin, 45, of Ottawa was charged with two counts of fail to comply with a release order, one count of fail to comply with a probation order and one count of being unlawfully at large. The accused also had a warrant for outstanding charges. They remain in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
Corey Popkie, 37, of Pembroke has been charged with two counts of possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of fail to comply with a release order and one count of possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000. The accused also had a warrant for outstanding charges. They remain in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
Terry Turcotte, 30, of Pembroke was charged with fail to comply with a probation order and well as possession of a schedule I substance. The accused also had a warrant for outstanding charges. They remain in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
