Members of the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating after two fires were set in separate washrooms at a high school in Pembroke.
Police and the Pembroke Fire Department responded to the incident on Tuesday afternoon (October 31st).
The fires were extinguished by school staff, with students evacuated from the school for a short period of time.
The flames were contained to the washrooms and did not spread. No injuries were reported.
OPP are treating the matter as an arson, and have identified persons of interest in this case.
The investigation is continuing.
