Five young entrepreneurs from Renfrew County are making their dreams come true with the Summer Company program, a special opportunity for students aged 15 to 29 to start their own businesses. They are Daniel Pomery, who prints amazing 3D objects; Grace Ding, who makes beautiful jewelry and does sewing repairs; Arden Miller, who creates stunning artworks and accessories; Amber Gilchrist, who crafts charming pottery pieces; and Logan Stuart, who forges metal items as a junior blacksmith. They are not only their own bosses, but also learning how to market, sell, and manage their finances with the help of mentors from Enterprise Renfrew County.
“We are so proud of the Summer Company participants and their achievements. They have shown creativity, passion, and resilience in pursuing their entrepreneurial dreams,” says Lindsay Debertin, Program Officer with Enterprise Renfrew County.
Enterprise Renfrew County is a non-profit government organization funded by the Government of Ontario, County of Renfrew, Town of Renfrew and the City of Pembroke. Its mission is to foster and promote the entrepreneurial spirit and economic development of Renfrew County by helping entrepreneurs start or grow their businesses.
