The Pembroke Public Library is collecting Christmas cards for seniors at local retirement and long-term care homes. Anusha Arul, who’s in charge of programming and outreach at the library, says it’s called the Cards of Kindness Project.
Arul says many schools are getting involved and encourages teachers to reach out to the library if they want to help.
The Pembroke Public Library has blank cards available and anyone can come in to fill out a Card of Kindness.
Arul says the Pembroke Public Library hopes to collect between 300 to 500 cards to send to seniors in our community.
The last day for the Cards of Kindness Project is Thursday, December 15th.
