Fourteen different organizations will benefit from money raised as part of the annual Jason Blaine Celebrity Charity Golf Classic & Concert. This years event held back on June 22nd raised $111,500 for groups across Renfrew County and the City of Pembroke. Jason Blaine tells myFM he is humbled by the support of the community over the years.
In eight years of hosting the event, over $700,000 has been raised benefiting upwards of 50 different organizations.
Blaine says the most rewarding part is giving back to the community.
The 2023 Jason Blaine Annual Celebrity Charity Golf Classic & Concert event is scheduled for June 21st at the Pembroke Golf Club.
Cheques were handed out on Friday, October 28th at the Wesley United Church.
- BGC Pembroke (formally known as Boys and Girls Club of Pembroke) – $25,000
- Robbie Dean Family Counseling Centre – $15,000
- Algonquin College – $15,000
- Pembroke Petawawa District Community Foundation – $11,000
- Pembroke & Area Airport – $10,000
- Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation- $10,000
- Carefor Health & Community Services – $10,000
- First Step Options Pregnancy Resource Centre – $3,000
- Ontario SPCA Renfew County Animal Shelter – $2,500
- Elevate Youth Wellness Centre – $2,000
- St. Joseph’s Food Bank – $1,500
- The Society of St. Vincent de Paul – $1,500
- The Grind Pembroke- $1,500
- The Petawawa Pantry Food Bank – $1,500
Additional funds of $2,000 were provided to smaller projects in the community.
