There’s a community-wide picnic in Petawawa this weekend for the Town’s 25th-anniversary celebration.
You’re encouraged to purchase your picnic lunch from a local eatery and join in the park of your choice to enjoy your meal and the entertainment provided.
The event runs from 11:00am to 2:00pm on Sunday, July 3rd and there are three unique themes and different parks to choose from.
- The Petawawa Point – Beach Carnival hosted by Looking Glass Toys and Games.
- Centennial Park – Flow and Facials hosted by the Urban Lounge Salon and Spa and Peak Hot Yoga.
- Kiddyland Park – PetPawlooza hosted by Mike’s Hardware Doors and So Much More and the OSPCA Renfrew County Animal Centre.
Petawawa Point – BEACH CARNIVAL
Come join the family-inspired beach carnival with our very own Looking Glass Toys and Games. Families can participate in a sandcastle building competition (entries must be complete for judging by 1:00 pm). Enjoy carnival-themed games like Frisbee toss, rubber duck water gun shoot, ring toss, and outdoor games like Kubb and Ladder ball will be set up so families can circulate through stations and play. A slackline installation will text dexterity. A bouncy slide from RYJ’s Climbing Adventures will delight the young at heart. Looking Glass Toys and Games will also be giving out beach balls so families can play toss, volleyball, and of course play in the water.
Centennial Park – FLOW AND FACIALS
Experience serenity and peace where your health and self-care are prioritized. Enjoy the soothing sounds of the Petawawa River as it flows beside our beautiful Centennial Park setting the backdrop to the activities planned by The Urban Lounge Salon and Spa and Peak Hot Yoga. Attendees of this picnic can participate in a FLOW session facilitated by the proprietors of Peak Hot Yoga. Enjoy a live musical performance offered by talented musician Yan-nick Michaud and get pampered with a mini facial courtesy of The Urban Lounge Salon and Spa.
