The community is invited to take part in the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson on June 23rd.
Marie Lemelin, an Aquatics Coordinator at Garrison Petawawa, says they are one of three locations in Canada taking part in the global event.
Lemelin says it’s the first time they’ve been able to offer this event since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Lemelin adds they will have multiple free one-time 30-minute swim lessons to raise awareness about water safety.
The event will take place between 4:00pm and 7:00pm at Dundonald Hall Fitness, Sports and Aquatics Center.
You can register online to reserve your spot and be part of the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson.
