After over 30-years of serving the City of Pembroke, Pembroke’s Chief Administrative Officer is calling it career at the end of 2022. Terry Lapierre has announced his retirement, making him the longest serving CAO in the City’s history. He tells myFM that the pleasure has been all his.
Throughout his career, Lapierre says he has been amazed to be part of so many projects and municipal changes.
Lapierre tells myFM news that he’s not in a rush to call it a career and wants to make sure there is a smooth transition.
“On behalf of Council, I want to thank Terry for his leadership and his commitment to Pembroke,” says Mayor Mike LeMay. “As mayor for the last eight years, I have very much appreciated his advice and recommendations on the many challenges that arise in the governance of a municipality. And as the administrative leader of the City, Terry has done exceptional work in guiding our Council. We have been able to make significant progress on many of our priorities.” Lapierre says he wouldn’t change anything in his career and is excited for this next phase of his life.
