The annual Hike for Hospice returns as a live event this year.
It will take place Sunday May 1st, and due to the construction at Mateway, the starting point will be the parking lot of Hospice Renfrew, 459 Albert Street.
Jerome Afelskie, whose father passed away in Hospice, will be lead hikers along with his family.
Events and entertainment for the kids get underway may 1st at 12:30 and the 3 km walk and/or 5 km run both get underway at 2PM.
Afelskie says Hospice staff are the real deal.
Pledge forms can be picked up at Aikenheads, Hospice Renfrew, The Eganville Leader or download them from hospicerenfrew.ca
The Civitan Club will be on hand selling bacon on a bun, and every participant will be entered into a draw for great prizes including a 50 inch Smart TV, donated by Al Utronki’s appliances and TV.
Afelskie encourages the participation of one-and-all
The event goes rain or shine and pets are welcome (but must be leashed and picked up after).
A big thank you to our lead sponsors Canadian Tire in Renfrew and Pembroke as well as Aikenheads Pharma Choice in Renfrew.
