Five custom playhouses have been built and donated by local businesses in the community as part of Project Playhouse.
President of the Petawawa Rotary Club, Val Hyska, says they have some unique builds on display outside of Your Independent Grocer in Petawawa that has sparked community interest.
Waito Homes, Mike’s Hardware and the high school construction classes at Valour in Petawawa and MacKenzie in Deep River were involved in the builds.
She adds Jan’s ValuMart in Deep River sponsored the construction materials for the class at Mackenzie High School and Mike’s Hardware helped the Valour High School construction class.
Val and Steve Hyska from Your Independent Grocer also built a farmers market style playhouse.
Tickets are $10 each or three for $25 and only 2,000 were printed.
Tickets can be purchased during store hours at the service desk at Hyska’s Your Independent Grocer.
To help get the word out, local real-estate agents sponsored a listing for the playhouses.
The draw will take place as part of Ramble events at the Petawawa Civic Centre Container Market on Sunday Oct 17th at 1pm.
Project Playhouse is a fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Petawawa with a portion of the proceeds going to The Petawawa Pantry Food Bank expansion fund.
