An 18-year-old from Pembroke has been charged for a second time this month for assault with a weapon.
Back on April 12th, 2021, the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP charged 18-year-old Mary Francis Jolicouer after allegedly striking a staff member with an object at a hotel on Pembroke Street East. Police say the victim did not sustain serious injuries.
Ten days later (April 22nd, 2021), officers responded to an altercation between two people at an address in the 500 block of MacKay Street in Pembroke. Police say a victim had been threatened and an object had been thrown at them. The victim was not seriously injured. As a result of this incident police arrested and charged 18-year-old Mary Francis Jolicouer of Pembroke with uttering threats and assault with a weapon.
The accused was released and is scheduled to attend court in Pembroke on June 1st, 2021.
