Firefighters from Pembroke, Petawawa and Laurentian Valley all paid tribute to all the workers at the Pembroke Regional Hospital today (April 13th). About 10 firetrucks with sirens blaring pulled up in front of the PRH this afternoon in an effort to thank and applaud the efforts of the essential workers. Public Affairs and Communications Coordinator at the Pembroke Regional Hospital, Carolyn Levesque, hopes this gesture will help put a smile on the face of staff members.
Levesque says morale at the hospital is good, but workers are stressed out due to the constant changes. She says the hospital is still looking for donations of personal protective equipment that can be dropped off at the Pembroke Fire Department. The PRH Communications Coordinator says they will continue to provide video updates and issue press releases to inform the public about important changes at the hospital.
Local first responders salute and applaud staff at the Pembroke Regional Hospital.
