Today is World Health Day and now more than ever, we are sending out thanks to nurses and other health care professionals. Nurses and other health workers are at the forefront of COVID-19 response – providing high quality, respectful treatment and care, leading community dialogue to address fears and questions and, in some instances, collecting data for clinical studies. Quite simply, without nurses, there would be no response. Nurses are being challenged this year like never before, and as they always do, they are rising to that challenge. They are confronting this outbreak on behalf of patients, residents, clients and members of the public everywhere.
