The Renfrew Victoria Hospital (RVH) says they need volunteers to sew fabric masks. The hospital put out a call for help on social media on Thursday afternoon saying due to a potential shortage of masks worldwide they are reaching out to see who is able to help.
RVH says to make these face masks you will require tightly woven cotton fabric and elastic bands. The homemade masks have to be made with a specific pattern to ensure they can protect health care workers. RVH is thanking everyone in the community for their efforts to limit the spread of COVID-19.
Any masks that are made should be put in a plastic bag and dropped off at 435 Barr Street in Renfrew. The masks can also be picked from your home.
If you have any further questions, please email: dillaboughp@renfrewhosp.com

Details on how to make the facemasks can be found online here.
