On October 21st, Robert Cherrin of the Veterans Coalition Party of Canada will be looking for your vote. One of his main platform goals is slashing bonuses for MPs and says the amount of money going out of this country is astronomical. Cherrin says our money should be working for us here helping build schools and hospitals, not being spent overseas. When it comes to his background, Cherrin says he’s just like you and me.
If elected, Cherrin says he wants to talk to the local unions and find out what they need from the government. Cherrin is one of ten candidates on the ballot for Renfrew-Nippissing-Pembroke. Others include David Ainsworth of the People’s Party of Canada, Independent candidates Dan Criger and Jonathan Davis, Incumbent Conservative Cheryl Gallant, NDP Eileen Jones-Whyte, Libertarian Stefan Klietsch, Independent Dheerendra Kumar, Ruben Marini of the Liberals, and Ian Pineau of the Green Party.
