LOCAL BUSINESSES BAND TOGETHER TO BOOST ZOMBIE THRILL RUN

The Zombie Thrill run is $11,250 closer to its fundraising goal. Petawawa Toyota got the ball rolling by donating $5,000, and soon, other local businesses stepped up as well. The businesses that came together to donate $6,250 collectively are Huckabone Equipment in Cobden, Assante Wealth Management, Mulvihill Drug Mart, Henry's Furniture in Petawawa and The Insurance Man, Dave Gareau.
Organizer Tammy Blackmore says the 5th annual event is gearing up to be bigger and better than ever.

   

Blackmore says that this donation brings the fundraising so far to nearly $19,000 with a goal of $30,000. This year's run is Saturday, Otober 28 and will start from Algonquin College.
