There are no free passes for speeding through the Admaston-Bromley hamlet of Douglas. Mayor Michael Donohue says he can't understand it, as motorists coming upon the community can see it for some distance before they arrive.

ALGONQUIN FACULTY SAY STRIKE ABOUT QUALITY OF EDUCATION

Faculty at Algonquin College in Pembroke are joining those at 23 other colleges in Ontario who are on the picket line today. The strike began at midnight, after the Ontario Public Service Employees Union and the College Employer Council failed to come to a deal.

You're reminded to lock it or lose it when you go out. The Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police runs a Lock It Or Lose It campaign that serves as a reminder that if you don't lock your vehicle when you're in public, you may lose some of your valuables.
